How to make an unbreakable promise

Make an Unbreakable promise with Yourself and others.

A great example of people making and keeping their commitments:

My own experience to share:

Last week was one of the happiest weeks of my life. Receiving so many positive responses from people made my every day. In addition to making a difference, I ended up doing everyone’s goal along with them by working out every day, organizing and doing my own committed time. It was a bit challenging to give information without sounding like a sermon, or not get on anyone’s nerves reminding them of their goal and implementing ways to assist people in doing what they said they would do. Tonight, I could not sleep without making sure to send you an e-mail to remind you to make sure to do the task that you promised.

For those of you who have been facing a challenge being answerable to someone, either the ego or the excuses are taking over.

“If you shut the door to all errors, truth will be shut out.” Rabindranath Tagore

Just want to remind you that your commitment is only for that duration that you have set for yourself.

“Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.”Napoleon Hill

If you went to the gym and worked out for two hours the first day, you will exhaust yourself and will not want to go back due to the pain that you have caused yourself. However, if you go for half an hour and incrementally start increasing the time, it is like a muscle that would build over time without you realizing.

“Patience can’t be acquired overnight. It is just like building up a muscle. Every day you need to work on it.” Eknath Easwaran

You just have to keep taking the action and issues to be dealt with will surface like need for discipline, staying away from distractions
and the little voice in your head stopping you.

“Constant effort and frequent mistakes are the stepping stones to genius.” Elbert Hubbard

Get an accountability partner who can you stay accountable to your unbreakable promise.

Your today’s task is to keep your commitment and report back to your Accountability Partner.

Woody Allen may have been right when he said that a lot of success is simply showing up! Why is that? Lots of people really don’t show up at all – and if they do, their attention, ethics, honesty and commitment simply don’t.

  • Don’t and do’s of commitments:
  • Don’t make commitments lightly
  • Don’t commit to doing something that you don’t believe you can deliver.
  • Before committing, think of the long-term implications in terms of the time, effort and inconvenience that may be required.
  • Write your commitments down, so you don’t forget.
  • Don’t commit to do something just because it is suitable or makes you look good to say “yes.”
  • Don’t change your mind because of circumstances that occur after you make the initial commitment.
  • If you cannot keep the commitment because of a problem with a schedule or if anything comes up that makes you late, be sure to let the person you have promised know as soon as possible.

Your assignment, do 2 things that move you closer to your goal today.

“Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.” Rabindranath Tagore
