Self-talk: What do you say to yourself?

“Fragrance of a rose lingers on the hand that gives.” unknown

Do you have a positive self-talk?

What do you say to yourself when something bad happens?

Do you tell yourself you made a mistake? Or label yourself a failure?

Do you mostly talk about what you want or what you don’t want? Glass half full or half empty.

Are you focusing on the things that you desire? Or the things that are not working.

How do you interpret things?

A son and his father were walking on the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

To his surprise, the son hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

Curious, he yells: “Who are you?” He receives the answer: “Who are you?”

Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!” He receives the answer: “Coward!”

He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?” The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.”

And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!” The voice answers: “I admire you!”

Again the man screams: “You are a champion!” The voice answers: “You are a champion!”

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: “People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do.

Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.

If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.”

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT’S A REFLECTION OF YOU!

The scripts are running through our mind automatically programmed in already.

These are standard operating procedures that we have set for ourselves.

So why not change them ahead of time and come up with a motto?

Instead of assuming the worst, jumping to conclusions or using disempowering talk, we can come up with a new healthy philosophy.

Here are examples of things, you can say, when a thought or emotion is triggered by a person, a circumstance or a place.

I will live in my higher self

I will take the high road

I look for the best in people, places and circumstances

All is well

No negativity, complaints, blame, excuses, back bite or pettiness.

Feel the fear, doubt, worry, or uncertainty.

I will live my everyday to the fullest. It is the journey that is important not the destination.

If I do anything I will do with passion. I will not do anything that I do not want to.

Every time I meet a person I want them to leave happier then when they came to me.

Whoever has helped me in life, I must minimum do double of what they have done for me.

Mother Theresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Power of words
Choice of your words is very crucial; hence, select them wisely.

Whatever you focus on would expand, so think and speak in positive words.

LANGUAGE IS POWER

Are you seeking one of the fastest ways to actually make changes? It’s in your language. Changing

your language changes your reality. There are both physiological and psychological reasons this is

so.

Language originates from thoughts and feelings. Words combined with sound (voice) are

energy vibrations that affect the body’s energy centers, and have the inherent capacity to give

power (energy) or take power (energy) away. Words convey underlying messages to our energy

centers creating physical, emotional, mental and spiritual responses in others and in ourselves.

Use empowering language to:

• Reclaim and retain your personal power

• Support others in standing in their power

• Release yourself from socially learned victim-hood

• Call yourself forth powerfully–you are what you think/speak

Distinction between empowering and disempowering language:

• Empowering language is centered, grounded, responsible, powerful, and healthy.

• Disempowering language keeps us sick and weak.

Use empowering language.

Use: Choose, desire, want  Instead of: should

Use: It’s important to me Instead of: need to

Use: Desire to Instead of: have to

Use: Am not willing to, choose to Instead of: can’t

Use: Sometimes, often, seldom Instead of: always, never

Use: Choose, desire Instead of: must

Use: And Instead of: but

Use: Intend, aim Instead of: try

Use: Yes Instead of: yeah, uh-huh

Use: No Instead of: nah, nope

Use: Yes I will or No I won’t Instead of: maybe

Use: I know or I don’t know Instead of: I think

Use statements of value.

• Example: I’m just a housewife doing a few direct sales parties.

• Reframe: I manage my family life and career wonderfully.

• Example: My life is out of control. I don’t have any time for myself.

• Reframe: I am taking control of my life and creating time for myself.

• Example: I am so confused. I don’t even know what I want.

• Reframe: I am discovering my deepest values and creating a life based on them.

• Reframing negative statements into positive statements is a powerful tool to start

changing your life.

Power Words

Consider the difference in the energy level between the following words:

Wish

Hope

Believe

Know

Do you feel the certainty increase as you move down the list? Do you feel the

difference between wishing and knowing? That’s power. That’s energy, and it takes

energy to achieve anything significant. Even simply learning how to be who you are.

Power of Questions

Quality of your life is determined by the quality of your questions.

Imagine waking up every day knowing that you are going to experience a day filled with joy, excitement, exhilaration and fulfillment!

Imagine going to bed every night feeling completely at peace with yourself, reliving the wonderful results of your day only to wake up totally refreshed to do it all over again!
