She hit me first

She hit me first

My friend and I were speaking last night at dinner about the phenomenon of South Asian men men claiming immediately “she hit me first” in domestic violence cases.

How do they know what to say to get out of a situation?

Do they speak with each other how to handle a situation in their defence?

We wondered, when and how this intel gets around.

A woman, especially South Asian is so distraught, traumatized and upset for even calling the authorities on her husband. Let alone to understand why her husband is making an accusation of her hitting him first.

Raising a hand on a man is almost unheard phenomenon in South Asian culture.

The forms of abuse men may go over are more psychological and emotional, not physical.

Our minds were boggled how men seem to unite at a front, when, where and how?

She hit me first is an open dialogue, please feel free to contribute.
