Why tears of joy

Why tears of joy?

Living in this wonderful country Canada, it is amazing.

I find that Canadian struggle with their identity.

Perhaps, we don’t appreciate what we have, when we don’t have anything to compare it to.

While travelling all over the world, the most exciting place to come back to was my home that is Canada.

Here are only a few reasons why it is so wonderful to be a Canadian:

  • As a woman, you can drive, go to a park, walk, lay down in the grass without being harassed
  • You can let your hair, face or body get the fresh air
  • The streets are nice and wide
  • Greenery everywhere
  • Democracy
  • People are so friendly, polite and caring
  • The national parks are to die for canoeing, hiking and camping
  • Health care system
  • Skiing, snowshoeing and fireplaces are wonderful
  • Libraries are my best friends
  • French onion soup
  • Cities like Ottawa and Quebec are absolutely gorgeous
  • You can practice your faith freely
  • You can wear what you please
  • You can speak your mother tongue
  • You can eat your own food
  • You can complain freely about taxes, weather and numerous other things without being punished
  • You can try all types of food
  • You can meet and befriend people from different cultures, languages and religions
  • You can pursue your dreams

Canada is one of the best countries in the world. After seeing fanciness of Dubai few times, hustle bustle of London, England and New York and even visiting South Africa, Canada is one of the best places to live on the planet.

Humanity oozes out of people here.

I feel the luckiest person on the planet to be alive and be here in this country.

People really say sorry, thank you and I messed up, and genuinely mean it.

The lakes, parks and country side is breath taking.

As a South Asian woman, I own a car, canoe, tent, bicycle, skis and roller blades.

Have been fortunate to comb through the country loving every part of it.

My life, freedom and ability to express is owed to Canada, and to my dad who worked very hard to bring us here.

Thank you for this wonderful life and I am determined to pay it back ten fold.

Why tears of joy is a genuine gratitude for a wonderful life and to share it with all concerned.
